Okay… Let me just say that I&#39;m pretty picky when it comes to movies in general. And..I tend to dislike most modern movies that I see. But, I do love sci-fi in general. So, before I watched this I read alot of reviews about it, and found many saying bad things about it. So, I wasn&#39;t really expecting much. But man, was I wrong. I was blown away by this movie. It was freakin awesome. And, every time it would reach a point where I would expect some boring cliche, instead there would be an unexpected plot twist. Particularly this is the case at the end 8O.. Wow!!! I so want a sequel now.<br/><br/>Anyways, this movie has awesome effects, cool guns, cool ships, cool monsters, likeable characters, good story, and particularly good and unexpected plot twists, like characters you didn&#39;t expect to die, dying, and characters you did expect to die not dying 8O.. I think this movie is better than just good. I feel this should have been a blockbuster hit. This is by far one of the best space/sci-fi/ action films I&#39;ve seen in a long time. For me this one is an instant classic. This film would have been amazing if they had done one simple thing: left out the mutating monsters. They could have had a very similar plot (replacing the monsters with a virus or something else), and then the focus could have been placed more on the use of the prisonersslave labour and the moral dilemmas. The monsters were simply not believable, and seemed like something out of an 80&#39;s B-movie: pure cheese, with all the associated plot holes and leaps in logic that go with it (a human turning into a huge monster in under 10 minutes for example, clearly breaking laws of thermodynamics). Don&#39;t get me wrong, I like cheesy monster movies, but it wasn&#39;t what I was looking for. I wish more people would have the guts to hard pure science fiction films. Those are rare pearls, hard to find. Such is the case of The Osiris Child, a series of scenes that cut away from interesting developments to flashbacks with a vengeance,though “interesting developments” killed director Shane Abbess’s dog.
